The concept of smart beta has a lot of data to draw on. Many so-called factors such as value, size, low volatility and momentum appear to have delivered decades of positive risk-adjusted returns, on average, for investors.

持續達一年的新冠肺炎疫情重擊本港經濟，面對時代變化、新科技的衍生及環球經濟挑戰等多個因素，傳統經濟政策必須改弦易轍，為研究及推動香港經濟政策改革，港大經管學院聯同香港經濟及商業策略研究所周五（15日）公佈《香港經濟政策綠皮書》，由11位教授合作編寫，就經濟政策四大範疇，包括經濟及產業、人力資本、監管與規管以及房屋作出解說，提出政策改革研究方向，期望引起各界討論，共同為香港未來五至十年的經濟發展尋求出路。

國家海關總署昨日發布數據顯示，2020年全年中國進出口總值超過32萬億元，比2019年增長1.9%，出口總值達17.93萬億元，以上兩項規模均創歷史新高，貨物貿易續居全球第一地位。中國在國際市場份額也達到歷史最高水平。海關總署新聞發言人李魁文表示，外貿進出口明顯好於預期，中國成為全球貨物貿易唯一實現正增長的主要經濟體。中國進出口從2020年6月起，連續7個月實現正增長，實現V型反轉，屢創歷史新高。

2020年11月15日，東盟10國加上中國、日本、南韓、澳洲和紐西蘭共15國簽署《區域全面經濟夥伴協定》（Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership；簡稱RCEP）。稍後待各國於國會通過後，協定將會是有史以來最大的自由貿易協定，涵蓋全球三分之一的人口（約23億）及本地生產總值（GDP），預計到了2030年，GDP更將佔全球的一半。

中澳兩國之間的貿易矛盾越演越烈，有評論認為中國不應在與美國糾纏之際四面樹敵。但鑑於美國奉行「美國優先政策」，中方相信就算中澳貿易戰開打，美國絕對會袖手旁觀。故中國希望藉此揭露穿美國的虛偽，讓西方國家認識到為他人火中取栗的失策。

It provides the community with reliable, transparent and useful forward-looking economic information to gauge the movements and effects of Hong Kong’s activities on a quarterly basis. The forecasting system has proved to be very useful in tracking the short-term fluctuations of the economy, particularly in predicting turning points of the business cycles.
