
The Faculty Successfully Held the 2026 “Youth Take Flight” Summer Internship Program Launch Ceremony Together with HKCEA
On 8th June, the launch ceremony of the 2026 “Youth Take Flight” Summer Internship Program jointly organized by the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association (HKCEA) and HKU Business School was held at The University of Hong Kong. Officiating guests included Mr. Ho Kai Ming, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare; Professor Chen LIN, Interim Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Business) of The University of Hong Kong; Mr. Lei JIN, Director and Second-Class Inspector of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Sun GU, Director of the Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Shendian ZENG, Vice President of HKCEA; Hon. Gang YAN, Member of the Legislative Council; Professor Xin WANG, Associate Dean (Taught Postgraduate) of the Faculty of Business and Economics, the University of Hong Kong; Ms. Qiong GAO, Director of the China Education Exchange Centre (Hong Kong and Macao); Mr. Fujun MA, Chairman of the Human Resources Committee of HKCEA, Director and Deputy General Manager of China Overseas Group; Ms. Yun HUANG, Vice Chair of the Human Resources Committee of HKCEA and Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department of China Resources Group; as well as other representatives from relevant organizations, Hong Kong universities, and corporates. Around 1,000 guests including teachers and students from 23 universities joined the launch online and offline.

This year, more than 200 companies participate in the program, including China Resources, China Merchants Group, Bank of China (Hong Kong), China Travel Service (Hong Kong), Everbright, China Overseas, CITIC, and other central SOEs, state-owned enterprises, and Fortune Global 500 companies. The program offers 886 high-quality internship positions across diverse fields such as finance and accounting, marketing and sales, advertising and planning, electronics and IT, and human resources. Among these, 540 are based in Hong Kong, 265 in Greater Bay Area cities, and 81 in Mainland cities.



Professor Chen Lin delivered the welcome remarks introducing that The University of Hong Kong has been committed to developing hard technology and advancing internationalization in recent years, while continuously optimizing its educational philosophy and talent cultivation models. He encouraged students to step out of the campus and enter the workplace, and hoped that they would actively use this internship platform to strive for progress and realize their potential. Mr. Ho Kai Ming encouraged young people in Hong Kong to seize opportunities and take part in the internship program, so as to gain an in-depth understanding of the current development situations in both Hong Kong and the mainland. He also urged them to leverage Hong Kong’s unique advantage as a “super connector” and actively engage in cross-regional exchanges and cooperation between the two sides. Mr. Zeng Shendian announced the details of this year’s internship positions at the ceremony.
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to enterprises participating in the 2026 internship program. Representatives from the Human Resources Departments of China Resources Group and China Travel Service (Hong Kong) introduced their companies and outlined this year’s internship roles and requirements. China National Aviation Holding shared the implementation of its “Youth Take Flight · CNAH Greater Bay Area Summer Internship Program”, which provides internship opportunities for students from aviation-related disciplines of the Vocational Training Council.




Hong Kong students studying at various mainland universities including Jinan University, Huaqiao University, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Central South University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University, Guangzhou University, Guangdong University of Finance & Economics, Guangdong University of Finance, Nanchang University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Central China Normal University, Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics, Shenzhen University, and Xiamen University also joined the launch online.
