Ms. Rainnie Ip is a seasoned public relations and sports marketing professional with over 30 years of experience. She has led numerous high-profile elite sports promotion and sponsorship initiatives, as well as strategic public relations and branding campaigns for Hong Kong athletes competing in major international events, including the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
When serving as Public Affairs & Marketing Manager at the Hong Kong Sports Institute reporting directly to the Chief Executive, Rainnie acted as spokesperson and managed all invitations from the private/public sectors and the mass media for elite athletes, sports experts and administrators. In this role, she was heavily involved in business collaborations while developing and implementing corporate communications strategies through effective leadership and professional management.
With extensive experience across commercial entities, statutory bodies, sports associations, and charities, Rainnie maintains strong networks with key stakeholders, including government bodies, sporting authorities, media, sponsors, and the public. Committed to advancing the public relations profession, she joined the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Public Relations Professionals’ Association (PRPA) in 2010 and currently serves as Chairman of its Steering Committee.
Rainnie was a frequent master of ceremonies for local and international events, a sought-after guest speaker at universities on communications, business promotion, and sports marketing, and a contributor of articles to the media. Passionate about mentoring the next generation, she has engaged in related volunteer works for decades and has served as External Module Examiner for the Marketing & Promotion Programme at the Vocational Training Council since 2016.
