HKU-Nestlé Hong Kong Joint University Case Competition 2026
We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of HKU-Nestlé Hong Kong Joint University Case Competition 2026. This annual flagship event, organised by the HKU International Case Society (HICS), a student-run organisation supported by HKU Business School, invited 15 top undergraduate teams from The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. It served as a platform for students to showcase their case cracking, analytical, and presentation skills.
This year, HKU Business School collaborated with Nestlé Hong Kong to present a real-world business case. As a prelude to the competition, Ms. Veronica Sze, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Nestlé Hong Kong, and Mr. Deep Yim, Head of Corporate Marketing and Business Improvement Lead at Nestlé Hong Kong, delivered a talk to participating students on April 13, 2026. They shared how Nestlé Hong Kong is positioning itself for sustainable development as well as key market insights on FMCG sector performance in Hong Kong. The students greatly benefited from the workshop and gained in-depth understanding of the industry before case cracking.
The Division Round and Grand Final Round took place on April 19, 2026. In the morning, student teams were divided into four divisions and presented their ideas to a panel of industry judges. The top-scoring team from each division advanced to the Grand Final in the afternoon, competing for the Championship. The judging panel for the Grand Final included:
- Simon Cheung, Managing Director, Nestlé Hong Kong
- Deep Yim, Head of Corporate Marketing & Business Improvement Lead, Nestlé Hong Kong
- Christina Wong, Director of Strategic Business Transformation Programme, The Hong Kong Jockey Club
- Luca Fong, Managing Director, Accenture
After careful deliberation, the Grand Final judges identified the winners of HKU-Nestlé Hong Kong Joint University Case Competition 2026. They are:
- Champion: MERC Consulting (HKUST)
- 1st Runner-up: Decibel Consulting (CUHK)
- 2nd Runner-up: Atlas Advisory (HKUST)
- Merit Team: Team Mastermind (CUHK)
- Best Presenter: Pegeen Kwok from MERC Consulting (HKUST)
Congratulations to all participants and winning teams for your dedication, hard work and impressive performances!
