HKU-Accenture Business Consulting Programme 2025-26 – Case Competition and Lunch Celebration
We are thrilled to celebrate the successful conclusion of the HKU-Accenture Business Consulting Programme 2025–26 on 28 March 2026. Building on seventh years success, the Programme continues to empower students with industry insights, hands-on consulting experience, and essential skills, bringing university learning to life through real-world applications.
This year, 30 outstanding students were selected from hundreds of applicants and formed into 6 teams. Through four specially curated lectures led by Accenture senior executives, participants explored key topics including introduction to the consulting industry, design thinking, storyboarding, executive presentations, and emerging trends such as next-generation technology and AI.
Beyond the classroom, dedicated Accenture coaches provided tailored coaching, guiding the students as they apply their learning to a real-world business case from our case partner, The Mills Fabrica.
The programme concluded with a case competition, where students were tasked with developing strategies to strengthen Fabrica X — The Mills Fabrica’s innovative impact retail concept that goes beyond traditional retail to drive consumer behavioural change toward sustainable living through education, experiential activities, and conscious shopping. Guided by seasoned Accenture professionals, the teams developed creative solutions and delivered compelling pitches to senior managements from The Mills Fabrica. This hands-on experience is invaluable not only in developing concrete consulting skills but also cultivated soft and transferable skills that will give them competitive edge in their future careers.
Miss Daniella Issa, Year 3 BEcon&Fin student from the Champion Team, shared, “Delivering a consulting project for The Mills Fabrica through this programme was truly a rewarding experience. It encouraged us to navigate ambiguity, define a clear direction for the client, and transform extensive information into a structured framework supported by a compelling, consistent narrative. We were also given valuable opportunities to engage directly with our client, including visiting The Mills Fabrica’s Office in Tsuen Wan and mid-programme meeting with Ms. Cintia Nunes, General Manager of The Mills Fabrica, which provided a hands-on, real-world consulting experience.”
Miss Cici Wang, Year 2 BEcon&Fin student from the Champion Team, added, “My biggest takeaway is learning to think like a consultant. Rather than relying solely on case materials, I learned to uncover clients’ real needs, think systematically, and balance rational judgment with client psychology to deliver practical, actionable solutions. This programme sharpened both my analytical and interpersonal skills, and I’m deeply grateful for the experience.”
Miss Yoyo Yeung, Best Presenter and Year 5 BBA(Law)&LLB student, expressed her appreciation to the Accenture coaches, “I am especially grateful to the coaches from Accenture. Their precise, structured, and practical guidance greatly enhanced my learning. Their insights were instrumental in shaping my consulting mindset, and their feedback was invaluable in helping me refine both the substance of my ideas and my presentation approach.”
The long-standing partnership between HKU Business School and Accenture continues to exemplify the heart of experiential learning—bringing together academic learning and invaluable industry insights. We are deeply grateful to Accenture for their unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of business talent and future leaders. As we look ahead, we are excited to further strengthen this partnership and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Congratulations to all participants for their dedication, creativity, and remarkable growth throughout the HKU–Accenture Business Consulting Programme 2025–26!
