HKU Business School Deepens Engagement and Talent Pipelines in Vietnam
In early May, a delegation from HKU Business School visited Ho Chi Minh City to strengthen the School’s presence in Vietnam and to open new opportunities for collaboration benefiting students, alumni, partners, and future HKU talents.
During the visit, the delegation met with a range of leading organisations, including the China Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Branch, Tessellation Binh Duong Co. Ltd, P&G, Sunwah Innovation Center, FPT Software, MB Bank, Techcombank, MoMo, Pizza 4P’s and others to explore concrete forms of partnership.
Discussions focused on areas such as AI, fintech, innovation, start-up incubation, and executive education, with a shared interest in co-developing impact-driven projects, programmes, and talent pathways that serve both Vietnamese enterprises and HKU Business School’s community. These conversations are already informing ideas for internships, industry consultancy projects, customised corporate training, and knowledge-sharing platforms that link academic learning with real-world practice.
A vibrant alumni gathering in Ho Chi Minh City was another highlight of the trip, reconnecting Vietnamese graduates from different programmes and cohorts. With a growing base of Business School alumni in Vietnam, this community is increasingly serving as a bridge between Hong Kong, Vietnam, and the wider region.
Leveraging the HKU Vietnam Office in Ho Chi Minh City, together with its strategic partnerships and expanding alumni network, HKU Business School will continue to deepen its engagement in Vietnam. Further initiatives in learning and development, thought leadership, and community activities are in the pipeline as the School supports the next generation of business leaders connecting Hong Kong, Vietnam, and the world.
