Impact Lab 2021-22 Annual Report

Impact Lab is an experiential learning course offered by HKU Business School, designing to nurture the next generation of socially conscious business leaders.

In its newly released 2021-22 Annual Report, it details how Impact Lab realises its vision – Internationlisation, Innovation, Interdisciplinarity, and hence creates Impact. It also displays achievements Impact Lab has made in the past decade, particularly highlighting how Impact Lab students, who gained valuable real-life experience by joining the course, helped partner companies to adapt and respond quickly to the changes brought by the pandemic.

The HKU Business School hosted a fireside chat with Joe Tsai, Co-Founder and Chairman of Alibaba Group, on Technological Drivers of China’s Economic Growth in the Next 10 Years on 5 November 2025.  As part of the Edward K Y Chen Distinguished Lecture Series, the session explored how innovation, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping business and driving long-term economic growth for China.  The lecture brought together close to 1,000 attendees at HKU Loke Yew Hall.

HKU Business School was honoured to host a compelling public lecture by Prof. Peter DeMarzo, the John G. McDonald Professor of Finance and former Dean at Stanford University Graduate School of Business of Business, at HKU iCube on 4 November. Bringing together more than 150 alumni, students, industry leaders, and friends of Stanford University, the event marked an energising first step toward our School’s 25th anniversary in 2026!
