HKU Business School Announces the Official Launch of the HKU-Tel Aviv Innovation Hub

HKU Business School announced the official launch of the HKU-Tel Aviv Innovation Hub in Tel-Aviv, Israel on August 1, 2022. Professor Hongbin Cai, Dean of HKU Business and Professor Roni Michaely, Founder and Executive Director of the Hub delivered welcome speeches at the ceremony, and celebrated this momentous occasion with numerous alumni, corporate partners and distinguished guests.

As an extended arm of HKU Business School to strengthen our impact globally, the HKU-Tel Aviv Innovation Hub is dedicated to deepening engagements between the academic, business and technology communities of Israel, Greater China and Hong Kong, promoting cross-border collaborations and partnerships. The Hub also offers unique programmes to foster educational exchange, technological innovation, and investment opportunities, enabling us to become an incubator for business talent.

Arthur H. Cole Prize of the Economic History Association goes to Dr. Chicheng Ma of HKU Business School
Dr. Chicheng Ma has recently won the prestigious Arthur H. Cole Prize of the Economic History Association for his paper “Knowledge Diffusion and Intellectual Change: When Chinese Literati Met European Jesuits” published in The Journal of Economic History (JEH). The prize was awarded at the annual meeting of the Economic History Association, held in La Crosse, Wisconsin, September 16-18, 2022.

HKUBS Optimas Scholarship Award 2023 for Vietnamese Students
In 2022, Optimas Capital and HKU Business School established a Scholarship Award for Vietnamese students, with up to 10 full scholarships per year. The Scholarship aims to support high calibre students from Vietnam to enroll in full-time Master Degree programmes at HKU Business School.
