Biography
Professor Duan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Innovation and Information Management at HKU Business School. Her research interests lie broadly in data-driven decision-making, focusing on developing advanced machine learning and statistical methods with rigorous theoretical foundations for applications in finance and causal inference.
Before joining the University of Hong Kong, she received her Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and her B.S. in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics with highest honors from Peking University.
