The 2nd edition of our “Global Reunion Series” alumni talk was another hit success!  A full house of over 130 of our own amazing alumni, along with our event partner, Harvard Club of Hong Kong members, convened at the exquisite venue for a wonderful luncheon talk by the distinguished guest speakers – Prof. William Kirby on the history of universities and their role in shaping the world. Prof Kirby discussed the challenges and opportunities faced by higher education institutions in the 21st century and shared his thoughts on the evolving landscape of higher education, as well as the role of universities in fostering innovation and driving global progress.

Dr. Victor Fung, Group Chairman of the Fung Group & Chairman of HKU’s Asia Global Institute, later joined the enlightening fireside chat as well to offer his decades of expertise and sharp insights on this topic as well.  The in-conversation session was moderated by our Dean, Prof. Hongbin Cai.

The event served as an excellent platform for alumni to network, reconnect with old friends, and exchange ideas. We are grateful to all attendees for their participation and enthusiasm, which contributed to the memorable experience. Check out the event highlights above and hope to see you at our next global reunion!
