Prof. Xi Li is a prolific scholar with interdisciplinary research interests in marketing and operations. His remarkable impact is reflected in ten articles published in “A” journals, including Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, Management Science, MIS Quarterly and Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, since joining the Faculty in July 2021.

Beyond his publications, Prof. Li has been serving on the editorial boards of leading academic journals, including as Senior Editor for Production and Operations Management, as well as a member of the Editorial Review Board in Marketing Science.  Prof. Li was also recognized as an MSI 2021 Young Scholar by the Marketing Science Institute, and was renowned globally as one of the Top 50 Most Productive Marketing Scholars in 2024 by the American Marketing Association.

We were delighted to host a special high-level event: HKU–Pepperdine Cross-Pacific Dialogue on Law, Economics & Innovation on 24 April 2026. Jointly organized by HKU Business School along with the HKU Faculty of Law and HKU Business School Alumni Association, the event attracted over 100 attendees.

The morning began with an exchange between President Jim Gash, the Pepperdine University’s senior leadership, and Dean Hongbin Cai. This was followed by an inspiring programme featuring, Fireside Chat: International Law and Global Economics, and Panel discussion: Venture Capital, Universities, and Geopolitics: Navigating Innovation Between Hong Kong, the US and Asia.

2026年1月13日，港大经管学院与香港大学赛马会环球企业可持续发展研究所联合举办的Jeffrey. D. Sachs教授茶话会活动顺利举办。

此次活动的主讲嘉宾Jeffrey D. Sachs教授是哥伦比亚大学知名教授，在国际学术和政策研究领域声名卓著，长期致力于全球经济、可持续发展等重大议题的研究，其研究成果和观点在国际上具有广泛影响力。

香港大学副校长（大学拓展）汪洋教授，香港大学赛马会环球企业可持续发展研究所所长何国俊教授，现任及前任香港特别行政区政府官员，港大经管学院校友组织代表——华北校友会会长沈忠民博士、华南校友会秘书长申斌先生、新加坡校友会主席Chris Leo女士、新加坡校友会对外联络负责人罗丹女士，各项目校友代表，赛马会学者以及在校学生代表等来自不同领域的嘉宾，参加了此次茶话会。

Sachs教授以专业且深入浅出的方式，剖析了美国地缘政治的复杂格局以及当前全球事务的演变趋势。他运用大量的数据和案例，从政治、经济、文化等多个维度进行解读，让与会嘉宾对国际形势有了更全面、更深入的认识。

汪洋教授与何国俊教授就Sachs教授的精彩分享，同与会嘉宾们展开进一步深入交流，他们从不同角度探讨问题，分享见解，为与会嘉宾提供了多元的思考方向和视角。

We are delighted to announce that HKU’s Pokfield Campus has been honoured with the Gold Award for Best New Development at the MIPIM Asia Awards 2025!

The HKU Pokfield Campus represents the University’s commitment towards building a sustainable, healthy and smart campus, as well as our dedication to providing world-class facilities for our faculty, students and the community. Once completed, the campus will feature a new and interactive academic complex for the HKU Business School, and will offer more than 9,000 sqm of greenery to significantly optimise both liveability and energy efficiency.

Professor Liu is an economic theorist. His research areas include financial economics (corporate finance, financial markets, financial institutions, and financial crises), macroeconomics, growth and development, and Chinese economy.
