Mari Pangestu is the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for International Trade and Multilateral Cooperation, and Vice Chair of the National Economic Council. She previously served as the President’s Special Envoy for Climate Finance and advised the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs on sustainability, energy transition, and blended finance (2023–2024).

From 2020 to 2023, she was Managing Director of Development Policy and Partnerships at the World Bank. Earlier, she was Indonesia’s Minister of Trade (2004–2011) and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (2011–2014).

She has over 30 years of experience across academia, diplomacy, international organisations and government.

She is currently Professor of International Economics at the University of Indonesia and a Board Member of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Jakarta. She is also a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and at the Center for Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, as well as an Honorary Professor at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University.

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from the Australian National University, and her PhD in economics from the University of California, Davis.

馮慧蘭（瑪麗•龐厄斯圖）現任印尼共和國總統國際貿易和多邊合作特使，以及國家經濟委員會副主席。她曾擔任總統氣候融資特使，並於2023至2024年為海事與投資統籌部提供可持續發展、能源轉型和混合融資方面的政策建議。

2020年至2023年，她擔任世界銀行的發展政策與夥伴關係常務副行長。此前，她曾任印尼貿易部部長（2004至2011年）以及旅遊與創意經濟部部長（2011至2014年）。

她在學術界、外交、國際組織及政府部門擁有逾30年的經驗。

目前，她是印尼大學國際經濟學教授，以及雅加達戰略與國際研究中心（CSIS）理事會成員。她同時是彼得森國際經濟研究所和哥倫比亞大學全球能源政策中心的傑出訪問研究員，以及澳大利亞國立大學克勞福德公共政策學院的榮譽教授。

她擁有澳大利亞國立大學的經濟學學士和碩士學位以及加利福尼亞大學戴維斯分校的經濟學博士學位。
