Future Leader Scholarship Programme 2025 | Student Sharing: Lin Fook Hang Juliana
How does one bridge the gap between technical financial expertise and the global imperative for sustainability?
Meet Juliana Lin, a fifth-year BBA Accounting and Finance student at HKU Business School and a recipient of the Future Leader Scholarship for 2024–2025. Her academic trajectory exemplifies the strategic duality of professional rigour and cultural fluency.
The Scholarship supported Juliana’s participation in the Yonsei University Winter Abroad Programme in South Korea. This immersion underscored the role of language as a bridge for cross-border connectivity—a catalyst for the greater understanding required in a globalised economy. Professionally, Juliana achieved the Certified Environmental, Social, and Governance Analyst (CESGA) designation, fueling her specialisation in green finance and sustainable investing.
Through serving as a Sustainable Finance Intern at a major bank, Juliana applied these insights to real-world projects that advance the financial sector’s sustainability mission. For her, the Scholarship served as more than financial support; it was a belief in her potential that facilitated a personal transformation. She now defines leadership through the capacity to listen, understand, and connect across diverse experiences.
