Biography

Prof. Filippo Carlo Wezel is a Professor of Management and Strategy. He is a Senior Editor at Strategic Management Journal (SMJ) and also sits in the editorial review board of various management journals. Before SMJ, he served at SE at Organization Science. With a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Bologna, as a faculty member, Filippo has acquired academic experience at USI (Switzerland) and Tilburg University (Netherlands), and as a visiting professor at the MIT, Columbia, Wharton, Duke, Cambridge University, London Business School, and London School of Economics. His teaching interests include several management topics which he has taught at the undergraduate, master, PhD and executive levels.

Research Interest

Prof. Filippo’s research lies at the intersection between organization theory and strategic management, and focuses on the impact of social structures in markets on organizational behavior and performance, and on careers within and around organizations. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, American Sociological Review, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Organization Studies, Strategic Organization, Industrial and Corporate Change, and Harvard Business Review among others.
