Professional Seminar: Family Office Investing – Challenges and Opportunities in 2018
Dear Students & Alumni,
We are delighted to have Mr. Zenki Kwan, Investment Director of a listed company and a single family office in Hong Kong, to give us a professional seminar on “Family Office Investing: Challenges and Opportunities in 2018”. Through this talk, Mr. Kwan will give an introduction about family office and share with the audiences about the challenges and opportunities to make investment in 2018 from a family office perspective.
About the Speaker
Mr. Kwan is currently the investment director of a listed company and a single family office in Hong Kong, responsible for designing and implementing investment strategy, as well as overseeing its multi-billion investment portfolio across equities, fixed income, currency, funds and structured product. Besides portfolio management, Mr. Kwan is also involved in the M&A and business management functions of the listed company. Prior to his current role, Mr. Kwan was the vice-president of private equity division in Finsoft Financial Investment Holdings, and spent his earlier career in McKinsey, Samsung Securities, UBS and J.P. Morgan from being a management consultant, equity researcher to corporate finance banker.
Mr. Kwan is a Doctoral candidate of Business Administration (majoring in finance). He graduated from Harvard Law School Executive Education Program, and obtained two Master Degrees – Master of Finance (majoring in financial engineering and risk management) from HKU, and Master of Applied Business Research. He also graduated with a first-class honor degree in business administration (finance and information systems) from HKUST and received Beta Gamma Sigma honor. Mr. Kwan is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Certified Banker (CB).
Mr. Kwan is passionate in education, learning and writing. He is the columnist of Metro Daily and a co-author of investment book. In addition, he is an adjunct lecturer of HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education teaching financial engineering and investment management related subjects in its postgraduate programs.
