Priyam completed her Ph.D. in Macro Organizational Behavior, with a Ph.D. Minor in Sociology, at Stanford University. Her research examines how cultural beliefs, social structures, and institutional environments shape firm practices, productivity, and economic development, with an emphasis on emerging-economy contexts. Prior to the University of Hong Kong, she spent over a decade in global public policy and strategy, including roles as Senior Economist and Young Professional at the World Bank, and worked at Bain & Company and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Priyam also holds a Master of Public Administration in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University, and dual Bachelor of Science in Economics and Information Systems Management from Singapore Management University.
