We are excited to share that our HKU Business School held its first-ever Alumni Cruise Reunion Event for alumni in Shanghai, which was a huge success. As we all know, Shanghai is the economic and financial center of China, and a hub where Eastern and Western cultures meet. Many alumni from HKU Business School who are based in Shanghai eagerly signed up for the event, and many more alumni travelled from other mainland cities to attend this Alumni Cruise Reunion. The alumni who attended this event included both, fresh graduates and senior alumni with years of work experience. They shared their insights and experiences in the workplace while expressing their strong affection for the University of Hong Kong. The event not only brought together alumni from the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, but also convened alumni across different age groups.

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Alice Hui (Head of HKUBS Development and Alumni), Mr. Leo Liu (Executive Director of the HKU-Fudan IMBA Programme), Mr. Jiahuan Ji (Assistant Director of HKUBS Development and Alumni), and Ms. Iris Heung (Assistant Director of the HKUBS MBA programme) expressed their excitement about the event. Alice also mentioned her hope that more alumni events could be held in Shanghai in the future. Following their speeches, Jiahuan introduced the highly anticipated Pokfield Campus, which is set to be launched in 2025, along with the team’s structure and vision, emphasizing the importance of fostering a strong and united community of HKU Business School alumni.

Overall, it was a wonderful night, and we look forward to organizing more alumni events in mainland China!
