Conference on Behavioural Science for
Business Relevance

June 23, 2025 (Monday) | HKU-iCube

About

The Conference on Behavioural Science for Business Relevance took place on June 23, 2025, at HKU iCube. Hosted by the HKU Business School’s Institute of Behavioural and Decision Science (IBDS), the event brought together more than 70 researchers, academics, and industry professionals from diverse fields, including marketing, information systems, business analytics, and management.

The one-day conference aimed to create a dynamic forum for experts to share insights, discuss emerging trends, and explore practical applications of behavioural science in business. It featured:

  • Keynote speeches by Prof. Mathew Isaac and Prof. Han Zhang
  • Presentations by Prof. Francesca Valsesia, Prof. Haipeng Shen, Prof. Jing (Alice) Wang, Prof. Jingyu Zhang, Prof. Rupali Kaul, and Prof. Yunlu Yin

These sessions focused on how behavioural research can enhance decision-making, consumer behaviour, and organisational strategies. Attendees had opportunities to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas on improving business practices through behavioural insights.

By fostering cross-disciplinary discussions, the conference bridged the gap between academic research and real-world business challenges, ensuring behavioural science continues to drive innovation and corporate relevance.
