The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited<\/p>\n

Ms Anita Fung is Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong for The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Ms Fung also holds the positions of Chairman and Director of HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong), Non-Executive Director of HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited, Non-Executive Director of Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. in mainland China and Non-Executive Director of Hang Seng Bank Limited.<\/p>\n

She joined HSBC Treasury and Capital Markets as Head of HKD Bond Markets in 1996 and was made Head of Trading for Asia-Pacific in 2001. Ms Fung was named Treasurer and Head of Global Markets Asia-Pacific in 2005 and was appointed a Group General Manager of HSBC Group in 2008. She became Head of Global Banking and Markets, Asia-Pacific in 2010 before taking up her current role in September 2011.<\/p>\n

Ms Fung is a leading authority on financial market development in Hong Kong. Through her various roles in industry bodies, she has helped guide the evolution of much of Hong Kong’s financial landscape as well as other regional markets.<\/p>\n

Ms Fung is a Board Member of the Hong Kong Airport Authority, a Non-official Member of the Hong Kong Housing Authority and a Council Member of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In October 2011, she was named to the Board of The Community Chest of Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

Ms Fung holds a number of positions on key financial institutions in Hong Kong. Ms Fung is now a Council Member of the Treasury Markets Association. In July 2011, she became a member of the Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee (\u201cEFAC\u201d) of Hong Kong Monetary Authority. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority\u2019s Banking Advisory Committee. Previously, she was on the Currency Board Operations Sub-Committee of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee (\u201cEFAC\u201d) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Chairperson of the Hong Kong Association of Banks, and a Council Member of HKTDC for 2012.<\/p>\n

A graduate of the University of Hong Kong with a major in Finance, Ms Fung also received a Master of Applied Finance degree from Macquarie University in Sydney.<\/p>\n
