2026 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society in Hong Kong, China is scheduled to take place from June 19–21, 2026 (Friday to Sunday) at Grand Hall, LG/F, Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam, Hong Kong.

1. From Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) to HKU

• By Taxi (RED)
• Approximate travel time: ~40 minutes (via Western Harbour Tunnel)
• Estimated cost: ~HKD 400
• Most taxis accept cash (HKD) only

• By Airport Express + Taxi / MTR

• Take the Airport Express to Hong Kong Station (Fare: HKD 115).
• Then, you can either:
  • Take a taxi to HKU (~20 minutes, ~HKD 80), OR
  • Walk to Central Station (~10 minutes) and take the MTR Island Line to HKU Station.
• MTR Payment options: Octopus Card or Alipay.

2. From Hong Kong West Kowloon Station (High-Speed Rail) to HKU

• By Taxi (RED)

• The taxi stand is located on Level B2.
• Approximate travel time: ~20 minutes (via Western Harbour Tunnel)
• Estimated cost: ~HKD 200
• Most taxis accept cash (HKD) only.

• By MTR + Taxi / MTR
• Walk via the Exit M overhead bridge to Kowloon Station.
• Take the MTR Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong Station.
• Then, you can either:
  • Take a taxi to HKU (~20 minutes, ~HKD 80), OR
  • Walk to Central Station (~10 minutes) and take the MTR Island Line to HKU Station.
• MTR Payment options: Octopus Card or Alipay.
